1945 marked the beginning of VOGUE PICTURE RECORDS launch campaign as well as the first signs of trouble. Just looking at its ads with an analytical eye, one will figure out what was going on with the company and ultimately, the release of these records to the public.
August 4th, 1945: An ad shows a map of the United States with lines from Detroit to all the most important markets at the time. It reads "Watch This Space - And Detroit; A New Musical Development Is Coming". At this time, neither recordings or final design of the actual records had been finalized.
