Barbara Rosenthal is a documentary filmmaker, writer and musician in Austin, Texas. As a little girl growing up in Miami, Florida, she would spend hours listening to LPs from the 1950s and 60s. These recordings inspired her earliest songwriting at the tender age of seven and her love of musical theater. A History major in college, Rosenthal received a fellowship for graduate work in Historic Preservation from Wake Forest University. As a filmmaker, her 30+ year career has focused on making things that matter. In addition to her work on the Vogue project, she is currently in production on “Grace & Grit - How Six Jewish Women Transformed Texas”.
